Lieutenant General Balanand Sharma (Ret.), Vice Chancellor, National Defence University Nepal

Lt. Gen. Bala Nanda Sharma has played a vital role in integrating the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) into the Nepal Army in his capacity as Coordinator of Army Integration Coordination Committee. He has held various military appointments in Nepal, in both operational and staff positions.

Currently, he is a faculty member of the Conflict, Peace and Development Studies department of Tribhuvan University and executive director of the Institute of Crisis Management Studies.
