Dr. Prakash Bhattarai
Dr Prakash Bhattarai, holds PhD from Peace and Conflict Studies, the University of Otago in Third Party Coordination in Conflict Resolution in 2014. Prakash holds master’s degrees in Population Studies (Tribhuvan University, Nepal, 2005) and in International Peace Studies (University of Notre Dame, USA, 2010), and has been a visiting research scholar (April-June 2013) at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, Uppsala University, Sweden.
Over the past seven years, his work is more focused on research, study, assessment, and evaluation of peacebuilding, security, violence prevention, community mediation, and youth and gender-related projects with his association with various organizations in Nepal and abroad including United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)/ Armed Violence Reduction and Strengthening Community Security (AVRSCS), International Organization for Migration (IOM), Search for Common Ground (SFCG), Catholic Relief Services Philippines, Friends for Peace Nepal, The Asia Foundation (TAF), and Alliance for Peace /Governance Facility.
