Bishnu Raj Upreti, PhD Executive Chairperson ,Policy Research Institute (Neeti Anusandhan Pratisthan)

Bishnu Raj Upreti, holds PhD in Conflict Management from the Wageningen University the Netherlands. He served as Executive Chairperson of Policy Research Institute (PRI), from 2020 to 2023, Kathmandu based government lead think tank on policy issues. He worked as Research Fellow at the King’s College, University of London and the Centre for Environmental Strategies, University of Surrey, UK. He served as South Asia Coordinator of a global research programme, NCCR North-South and Senior Researcher focusing state building, peace and unconventional security; governance and north-south research partnership. He has written and/or co- edited nearly five dozen books; published frequently in international peer reviewed journals and extensively contributed chapters in anthologies and edited volumes.
